Classes

There will be separate classes for Female only and combined Female and Males in competitive classes Vets 35+ will be a combined Female and Male class scored separately.

Different age group classes may be combined and scored separately provided there is no more than a 4-year age difference as per the GCR’s.

Juniors wishing to participate in any competition class MUST have a suitably endorsed competition licence and a Junior Logbook showing the correct endorsement. If not, the junior rider is INELIGIBLE to compete in that chosen class.

  • 13-15yrs Junior Lites (100cc - 125cc 2 stroke & 250cc 4 stroke) Female

  • 13-15yrs Junior Lites (100cc - 125cc 2 stroke & 250cc 4 stroke) Female and Male

  • Senior Women (All Powers – A, B & C Grade. Please note grading for this class only will depend on race results from the first day’s racing at the event at the discretion of GGRA Race Secretary, president and a third independent reviewer.)

  • Senior All Powers (all grades) Female and Male

  • Vets 35+ Women (to be raced with Vets 35+ Men but scored separately)

  • Vets 35+ Men (to be raced with Vets 35+ Women but scored separately)

What constitutes a class

To constitute a class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each class shall be 4.

Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards and/or prize money, will be at the discretion of Go Girl Racing Australia - Promoter, subject to Motorcycling NSW approval.

Format

The event will be conducted over 5 days.

The first day will be for sign on scrutineering and practice only. The following 4 days will see each class complete a total of 9 rounds.

The rounds will include a combination of standard races, sprint races, and Handicap starts, the final race on the Tuesday morning will be a longer feature race with Juniors – 15mins + lap, Seniors 20mins + 1 lap.

Competitors will have 1 sight lap before their first race for each of the competition days 2-5

The format for each day will be as follows;

DAY 1 (12th April):

  • 9.00 am - Sign on & Scrutineering,

  • 12.00 pm - Riders Brief

  • 12.30 pm - Practice

DAY 2 (13th April):

  • 6.30am - Sign on & Scrutineering,

  • 7.30am – Riders Briefing

  • 8.00am- 3 rounds of racing with the following format:

    • RD 1: Standard race

    • RD 2: 2 lap sprint race

    • RD 3: Standard race

DAY 3 (14th April):

Juniors will race in the morning, Seniors will race in the afternoon. This allows juniors to finish up and socialise/play, it also allows the senior riders to sleep in!

  • 7.30am – Riders Briefing

  • 8.00am- 2 rounds of racing:

    • RD 4: Standard race

    • RD 5: Standard race

Seniors

  • 1.30pm Riders briefing

  • 2.00pm -2 rounds of racing:

    • RD 4: Standard race

    • RD 5: Standard race

DAY 4 (15th April):

  • 7.30am – Riders Briefing

  • 8.00am- 3 rounds of racing with the following format:

    • RD 6: Handicap start** standard race

    • RD 7: 2 lap sprint race

    • RD 8: Le mans start* standard race

DAY 5 (16th April):

  • 7.30am – Riders Briefing

  • 8.00am- 1 round of racing with the following format:

    • RD 9: Feature race with handicap start** Juniors – 15mins + lap, Seniors 20mins + 1 lap

* Le mans starts, lying on ground face down, both hands under chin, facing away from bike, distance from bike to be determined by GGRA.

  • Nippers: adult to support bike, bike already started

  • 50cc Div 2 Auto: adult to support bike, bike already started

  • 65cc: adult support bike, bike started but out of gear

  • All other class, bike to be supported by adult turned off

** Handicap start will be based on best single lap time over the course of the first 3 rounds of racing (Day 2). The start order will be from slowest lap time to fastest with the handicap based on the nearest whole second.

Series scoring: Scoring will be as per GCR’s. i.e. 35 points will be allocated to the overall 1st place at the end of each race, 32 pts for 2nd place, 30 pts for 3rd place, 28 points for 4th place, 26 points for 5th place, etc, to be accumulated over the 9 races, with the maximum possible being 315 points achieved per class for the series.

Results will remain “Provisional” until ratified and confirmed by Motorcycling NSW.

Late Fee (for entries after 8-Apr-2018): $40

Note: MotoSponder transponders will be used for the event participants will be required to supply their own or purchase one per bike at a cost of $20 each. Each bike must have a separate transponder.

Please include a correct email address for confirmation of entry and any final instructions. Final instructions will be sent out via email, posted on Go Girl Racing Australia Website and Facebook Page.

Maximum number of entries that will be accepted for each class will be 30.

Entries over these numbers will be listed as reserves in order of receipt.

ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED PAYMENTS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT.

Prizes

  • Series trophies/prize money will be awarded to all junior and senior classes from 1st through to 3rd place.

  • Random computer generated lucky gate prizes throughout series.

  • Most improved Junior rider female and male throughout the series

  • Pot of gold award $500: rider who achieves the most hole shots accumulated over the course of racing rounds 1-8

  • All 50cc Div 1 (Nippers) will receive an award of equal value
